The Red Bull Rookies Team 2011 will be made up of two drivers from Malaysia, one from Brunei and one from Singapore. This search is open out to females age 18 to 30 years old who have a distinct passion for speed! The search was recently conducted through auditions held at various local universities and
public areas. In addition, an online campaign via website and Facebook as well as local radio station Power 98 reached out to the ladies with passion in motor sports. The search began on 14 February 2011 at National University Singapore, followed by 15 February 2011 at Singapore Institute of Management, 17 February 2011 at Singapore Management University and ended with a public search at Parco Bugis Junction on 19 February 2011.

Allswell Trading Pte Ltd introduced an exciting consumer engagement initiative for Red Bull energy drink with Singapore’s inaugural Red Bull Female Driver Search.

This year's S1K was won by Team Ultra Racing - Kegani in a 1600cc Toyota Levin machine as it sensationally upstaged the higher powered 1800cc cars from the team's more illustrious opponents such as Type R Racing Team, JC Racing, Mofaz Racing and Pentagon J’s Racing from Class 1, proving that brute force is not everything in an endurance race. Driven by Kenny Lee, Chris O’Shannessy and Hsiao Tung Wei, the Class 2 trio took eight hours 32 minutes and 1.455 seconds to complete a gruelling 181 laps of the 5.543 kilometres Sepang International Circuit.

A spin-off event from the Merdeka Millenium Endurance Race, the S1K Endurance Race was back for its second edition.

“We are hoping to build on our successes from previous years and maintain our 100% finish record,” said Puteri. “It is going to be exciting with the driver line-up that we have, there are some vast skills, some raw talent and a lot of passion in the team. We have a competitive car, and we are incredibly enthusiastic about the team's performance on race day,” she added.
